This Sumatra comes from smallholder farms in Sigumpar Village in the Lintong Nihuta growing area near Lake Toba. Coffees from this region are shaped by traditional wet hulled processing, which gives them their signature weighty body, low acidity, and deep sweetness.
In the cup, this coffee opens with a smooth palm sugar sweetness and rich cacao nib depth. While often described as earthy, that character shows up here as a pleasant, herbaceous sweetness that feels clean and balanced rather than heavy or rustic.
