This washed selection comes from the Thangaini Factory in Murang’a County, part of the Thangaini Farmers’ Cooperative Society. Around 900 smallholder farmers contribute cherry to the factory, located in Kenya’s central highlands between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Range. The region’s high elevation, red volcanic soil, and cool climate create ideal conditions for slow cherry development and complex cup profiles. This AB lot delivers a vibrant and balanced cup with excellent clarity. Fully washed and dried on raised beds, it showcases Kenya’s renowned attention to detail in post-harvest processing.
