Yemen Mokha Haimi

This is a fascinating coffee with a deeply traditional Yemeni character. Haimi comes from approximately 100 smallholder farmers in the Haima Dakhliya and Kharijea districts of Yemen’s Sana’a governorate, where coffee is grown on rugged mountain terrain ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 meters above sea level. The cherries are naturally processed and patio sun dried using methods closely tied to Yemen’s centuries old coffee tradition.

The cup is rich, rustic, and layered, with a syrupy body, complex aromatics, and a satisfying depth that develops as it cools. We recommend it for medium dark through dark roast profiles, where its intensity and structure really come forward. It also makes an excellent espresso and holds up beautifully in milk based drinks, while pour over, French press, and other immersion methods reveal different sides of its character.
