Café de Mujer comes from the women producers of Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros de la Cuenca del Río Marañón (APROCCURMA) in the Rodríguez de Mendoza province of northern Peru. This lot represents the work of 124 women who manage their own farms and rely on coffee as a primary source of income, cultivating small plots of land using organic practices alongside crops like bananas, corn, and beans.Each producer processes their coffee at the farm level using micro-mills, carefully guiding cherries through depulping, fermentation, washing, and sun drying. This hands-on approach brings a level of consistency and care that carries through in the final cup. Behind the scenes, APROCCURMA supports these producers with training, financing, and infrastructure, helping ensure both quality and long-term sustainability.In the cup, this coffee is balanced and approachable with a smooth body and a gentle, rounded sweetness.
