West Java Sunda Mekarsari

Java Sunda Mekarsari comes from a group of farmers in Mekarsari village, east of Ciwidey along the Mount Tilu pass in West Java. This lot is washed, patio sun dried, and built around the kind of structure that makes Java coffees so satisfying: deep sweetness, sturdy body, and enough brightness to keep the cup lively. The farmers handled the wet milling themselves this year, then delivered partially processed wet parchment to the nearby Gambung mill for final handling and export.This coffee is especially comfortable in the medium to medium dark range, where it develops a creamy mouthfeel and a long, cocoa leaning finish. It is a strong fit for drip, French press, and espresso, with enough balance for everyday brewing and enough depth to hold up beautifully as a richer roast. Best enjoyed at medium to dark roasts, though lighter medium roasts can show a little more lift and brightness.
